In 2016 successful completion of the project on changing the electrical equipment with  ultra-high voltage and high voltage transmission system of electricity SWYD-500 (switchyard) kV to modern equipment «ALSTOM» CJSC (Single-phase three-winding autotransformer, voltage 500/220/35 kV, single-phase oil shunt reactor, 500kV, gas-insulated coring circuit breakers 500 kV). For the first time in Kazakhstan applied cable line with voltage class 500 kW (production Taihan Electric, South Korea) with thermomonitoring system and other extras.
